WALDORF, Md. (WJZ) — Eight students astatine a Charles County simple schoolhouse were recovered passing astir what appeared to beryllium cannabis-infused candy Monday, officials said.

According to officials astatine C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School, during recess, a teacher witnessed students passing astir what appeared to beryllium candy.

During a further inspection, the teacher noticed the container included a statement that indicated it contained “edible candy,” which contains cannabis that tin beryllium ingested.

The teacher confiscated the candy and reported the incidental to administrators who past contacted 911 for aesculapian assistance.
