AP Budget Sessions: Governor Abdul Nazir's Speech Highlights
Andhra Pradesh Budget sessions were inaugurated today, with Governor Abdul Nazir outlining the government's priorities, including the development of Polavaram, Amaravati, and the welfare of BC communities. The speech highlighted financial growth, with investments expanding the state’s economy to ₹16 lakh crore and plans for infrastructure development like metro construction and free electricity schemes.

The Andhra Pradesh Budget sessions were grandly inaugurated today. On this occasion, Governor Abdul Nazir addressed both Houses. The Governor mentioned that the people have given an overwhelming majority to their government. He stated that the state's financial condition had severely suffered due to the previous government, but the new government is attempting to stabilize the financial system through its policies. The government highlighted its priorities, particularly by providing better services to the people through the Super Six schemes.
The Governor’s speech clearly showed that priority was given to all sectors. He pointed out that special attention is being given to education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. The schemes that are continuing include increasing pensions to ₹4,000, delivering pensions door-to-door, and providing food to the poor through Anna canteens. The Governor emphasized that priority was being given to the development of Polavaram and Amaravati, and assured that the Polavaram project would be completed by 2027. He also stated that special attention is being given to the welfare of the BC communities.
In his speech, the Governor also highlighted the measures being taken for economic growth and industrial development. He mentioned that investments worth ₹6.5 lakh crore have been made so far, and the state’s economy has expanded to ₹16 lakh crore. Development plans reflecting the government’s goals include bringing a new policy for IT development, constructing metro rail in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, providing free electricity schemes, and setting up rooftop solar systems. Overall, the Governor's speech made it clear that the focus was on both public welfare and the development of the state.
